SoCal Event – bootstrap Windows Phone 7 development hackathon Sat. June 4th, 9AM to 10PM

Microsoft is throwing an event that you have to attend.

It’s a Windows Phone 7 hackathon called XAPFest that is being held in Santa Monica at the Loew’s Hotel on June 4th, 9AM – 10PM, with the goal of bringing together 250+ mobile developers from the Santa Monica/LA/OC tech community and give them a fun, creative environment to do something cool and get recognition for their hard work. We’re trying to build an environment that gives the local community the chance to directly engage with each other and recognize some local developers who do great work. As you know, competitive hackathons are fun because they reward creativity & technical knowledge and but in the end it’s about rewarding the people who build things that get people excited.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner is hosted – along w/a contest with a $2K cash prize (sponsored by Infragistics) and other prizes presented at the end of the evening. Looking for developers of *all* skill levels – come in and build Windows Phone 7 apps.

Hurry up and register before it’s too late.

See you there
