Real estate event set for Saturday

REMAX Masters will hold a “Current Real Estate Market Seminar from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Duarte City Complex, 1600 Huntington Dr., Duarte.

The free event will feature local experts with day-to-day experience who will educate attendees about the current real estate market.

Questions will be answered about short sales, foreclosures, improving your credit score, and the federal tax credit.

Participants will also get details about the first time home buyer’s loan programs that offer interest credits, down payment and closing cost assistance.

Speakers will include Helen Lam, associate broker with REMAX Masters, Sophia Wong, senior loan officer and underwriter with Provident Bank Mortgage, and David Fu, a real estate attorney wity Fu and Associates.
