RB Family Orchard Update Apple Picking

Just received this from the fine folks at RB Family Orchards.

RB Family–Emily, Richard, Brian, Barbara

Dear Friends:

This coming weekend marks the fifth week of our 2010 season.  The cider press has squeezed out hundreds of gallons of cider, countless apple crisp have been baked and taken home, the dried apple rings have flown out the door and crunchy apples have made their way to tables and tummies far and near.  We will remain open for at least another two weeks and perhaps three.  Stay tuned on that third week!  In the meantime, you can depend on us to be here for you EVERY day from 9-6, including the federal holiday, Columbus Day, on October 11.

The past week has seen true autumn temperatures and some rain thrown in for good measure.  The forecast for this weekend and the coming week indicates blue skies and warmer temps, which should make for a pleasant visit to our orchard.  There seems to be some confusion about our apple sales.  We do not offer picking at RB.  It is available at our good neighbor’s orchard, Kolesars’ Apples, located on Casey Drive at Highline.  Kolesars’ is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday ONLY from 9-4.

We are featuring Golden Delicious, Red Delicious and Rome apples.  Our shelves remain fully stocked with our delicious apple butter, pumpkin butter, cherry butter, apple chipotle sauce and apple syrup.  Pumpkin bread, applecake and apple crisp is baked on premises every day.  Come see us and take home some tasty orchard offerings to enjoy!
