You could spend some time joining social media networks and building some relationships that way.  That tactic can generate a lot of interest in your site.  The only downside to doing that is it is somewhat of a big commitment.  Once you start a relationship with people on there, they kind of expect you to use that channel on a regular frequency.  If you stay away and hide for a while, people will slowly lose interest in you.

The big thing with blogs is getting over a certain hump.  Once you get so far with your blog things kind of start taking off on their own.   That doesn’t mean you are going to become famous or anything like that.  It just means that people start telling their friends about you. Then you kind of end up in a group of like minded people where you listen to what they say and they listen to you.  It is pretty cool actually.

Like I said, try a bunch of different methods.  There is more than one way to get traffic to a new blog.  Find the one that works best for you.  You won’t know what that is unless you give them all a try.
