Robert Humphries is a 27 year old bundle of culinary talent and energy and his new restaurant Siena located on Union Street in Old Pasadena, is destined for considerable critical acclaim. Robert learned his craft at Patina, working under reknown executive chef Theo Schoenegger. When it comes to cooking, he’s decididly old fashioned. His specialty is Italian cuisine and every morning you’ll find him in Siena’s small kitchen hand rolling his pasta and gnocchi, filling ravioli and slow roasting whole tomatoes for his sauces. The menu features four or five pasta dishes nightly, an equal number of meat and fish entrees, several pizzas and a good selection of appetizers, salads and anti pastas. Prices are reasonable for cuisine of this quality with pasta prices ranging between $13 – $16 and entree prices ranging from $ 17 – $ 30. Wine prices are very reasonable with a good selection by the glass at $ 6 -$8.

About Us
Executive chef, Robert Humphreys, heads the staff at Siena Ristorante. The Pasadena native completed the Le Cordon Bleu program at the Scottsdale Culinary Institute and honed his culinary skills in Arizona before returning to Los Angeles to work under Chef Theo Schoenegger at Patina. Robert served as the executive chef at Wabi Sabi in Venice, and successfully launched Mojitos Restuarant and Rum Bar on Raymond Avenue in Pasadena. At Siena, Robert strives to provide innovative, contemporary Italian fare using the finest and freshest ingredients.
