Rumors are flying recently that Microsoft is working to release a new ground breaking tablet PC. Code name “Courier”, the feature set has been released with video on GIZMODO.

Microsoft does not comment on unreleased products. Apple is also rumored to be working on a tablet pc.  The tablet market is seen as a mid ground between a phone/pda and desktop, notebook computer, a tablet would have all the features.

Shown on the videos is Windows 7 operating system. Handwriting is one of the key components of a new tablet PC and handwriting recognition is part of Windows 7.

The Apple tablet which would be a welcome addition to the Apple product line could be released this month, with other rumors putting the release at February 2010.
