Tickets are now on sale for the LA Acoustic Music Festival June 6 – 7, 2009. Come join us on the beautiful Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica, California for a two day celebration of acoustic music.

Imagine yourself sitting in your chair on the pier, the cool ocean breeze blowing, and your favorite acts on stage. You are lulled by the wine you’ve just consumed in the wine and beer garden, and just off the horizon you catch the hues of the incredible sunset that begins to roll across the ocean just as the evening headliners take the stage….and that is when you realize you are pleasantly, gratefully relaxed.

The Santa Monica Pier is alive with a variety of entertainment, dining and shopping experiences, including the thrill rides of Pacific Park; a historic 1922 Carousel, and an interactive aquarium. If you take the time to stroll the planks of the Pier, enjoy the lively street performers– from musicians to artists – and don’t miss some of the best sunsets along the California coast.

The LA Acoustic Music Festival is a benefit for the California Acoustic Music Project (CAMP). CAMP provides artists in residence to schools on a salaried, ongoing basis through the curriculum of the Americana Project in order to ensure that every student gets the experience of music instruction every day. Instruments (primarily guitars, mandolins and banjos) are also provided, and songwriting, instrumentation and performance are taught, and the semester culminates in both a CD project and a concert performance.

This inaugural festival takes places on the Santa Monica Pier, during the pier’s 100th Anniversary Summer of Celebration. With its stellar line up of musicians, this is the music event not to be missed this summer in Los Angeles.

Because of the recent announcement of
