Employees for “FREE” SASSFA Employee Subsidy Programs

How would you like the opportunity to “try out” new employees at no cost to you, the business owner? We know this sounds too good to be true, but there are two very real, Los Angeles County subsidized programs that can provide area businesses with just that! The first is the Workforce Investment Act of 1998 Youth Work Experience Program that can provide a youth or young adult between the age 17-21, for you to train and mentor for up to 140 hours. They are interviewed, pre-selected, hired by SASSFA at $8.00 per hour and placed in your business. The other is sponsored by Los Angeles by Los Angeles County DPSS for Adults 18 and up, that can be placed in your business for up to one year at no cost to you. The ideal outcome would be for you to find employees that will become valuable members of your workforce, trained and tailored to your business, by you.
