Ellen Naumann Conquers Mt. Whitney

Congratulations go out today to our good friend Ellen Naumann from Agoura Hills, California.

Today August 22, 2009 Ellen climbed to the top of Mt. Whitney, the highest peak in the contiguous United States. Located in California along the Sierra Nevada range with a height of 14,505 feet.

We are all proud of Ellen for achieving this feat having watched her train for many months going on hikes to places throughout the Southern California area and spending many days in Big Bear preparing the altitude she was going to face in the ascent to Mt. Whitney.

More pictures will follow but this one tells the best story, pictured at the summit of Mt Whitney.

We just got off the phone with Ellen’s husband Jeffrey Naumann who gave us the great news that Ellen had climbed to the top.

Here’s Ellen’s base camp setup.
