The sad news continues as we another good person passes away.
We are learning on facebook that Dwayne Ward has passed away.
Dwayne had hundreds of friends in the music business and out.
I’m beyond saddened to say that Dwayne passed away due to natural causes.
If you knew and spent time with Dwayne, you would have plenty of great memories and stories about Dwayne.
I got a chance to work with Dwayne Ward at Network 40 magazine in Burbank.
Dwayne was living in Tampa, FL.
Atlanta, GA and had been writing and working on books.
Birthday: March 31
Dwayne spent 6 months writing his book.
I know how excited he was about it’s upcoming release. It is a serious effort…”the device” is a really cool action thriller, not a bunch of war stories about the industry.
If you knew D, you won’t be surprised to see how well written it is. He has always… been a great storyteller. For years he talked about writing a book called “Somebody Stole My Swimming Pool”, which was based on a true life Dwayne moment. It’s far too long to tell here but I assure you, it’s classic Dwayne and hilarious. He always made me smile. Still does.

Condolences to the family and friends of DWAYNE WARD, who died in his home in TAMPA.
WARD was well known for his many positions in our industry, most recently as a promotion rep for several labels, including CAPITOL, LAVA and MCA. Previously he did some independent promotion, and was part of the senior leadership of industry magazine THE NETWORK 40.
WARD’s radio career was highlighted by his stay at WROQ/CHARLOTTE.
