Crude futures close at a record above $143
SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) — Crude futures closed at a record Wednesday after the U.S. Energy Department reported a decline of 2 million barrels in crude supplies last week. August crude climbed $2.60 to finish at an all-time closing high of $143.57 a barrel in New York. The contract reached an intraday record of $143.91 on Globex earlier.
