Los Angeles based CODA Automotive is schedule to open a store in the Century City mall.

At this store potential customers will be able to test drive and learn about the Coda electric vehicles.

The scheduled opening is end of August 2011.

The store has a very open feel/design, that is somewhat like an Apple store.

According to a blog posting on the CODA site:

Four primary elements of the store will include:

1. The EV Bar is an interactive learning area focused on communicating the benefits of electric cars. People can speak with CODA employees, each other, and guest speakers about the issues as they hang out or surf the Web.

2. The Technology Display will feature a full-scale replica of CODA’s battery system and electric propulsion system, and demonstrate the technical components and features of the car.

3. A Test Drive Counter offers interested customers the chance to sign-up for a test drive. Customers can also sign up online.

4. The Test Drive Center, located in the parking garage directly below the store, will allow customers to take a spin in the CODA and learn about charging the vehicle.
