California jobless rate rises to 12.1 percent.
Is there any sign things are going to improve soon? Is it time that Obama take a closer look at the real problem? Do large road construction projects really create “local” jobs? Or these huge contractors that bring workers in from far away or even other countries do the work.
Any Example is the Rose Bowl project in Pasadena, CA, a very small percentage are local workers, and the contract tells the city, we can’t find qualified workers.
We are going to have tens of thousands of workers let go from Bank of American and the United States Post Office, and other large employers. We need to find services, technologies that will put these people to work quickly and keep them out of the unemployment lines, and keep them from becoming a statistic that is not even counted. Those that no longer qualify for benefits.
Obama and state officials that are elected by the people need to wake up to the reality of what is happening in this country and stop playing politics with the livelihood of people!
