Probably long overdue, but now Best Buy is selling musical instruments.

From the low end to mid range, this is a good move for Best Buy. More of a natural progression considering the popularity of RockBand and Guitar Hero, why not sell the real instruments for serious musicians.

There are hundreds if not thousands of rehearsal studios(see this comprehensive rehearsal studio directory), some of which are either working on or are now offering RockBand and Guitar Hero events and competitions.

Guitar Center and Sam Ash and Musicians Friend will have to step it up a notch to compete against this Best Buy. You can see some of what Best Buy will be selling online at:
