AV Nissan Leaf Site Assessment Review

Here’s a video and information about the Nissan Leaf Site Assessment.
Nissan contracts with AV and AV contracts with electrical contractors.
If you live in a HOA townhouse or condo in particular, you are REQUIRED to get the paperwork signed, regardless of wether or not your charger will be visible by anyone neighbors, at least that is what I was told day.

AeroVironment, the exclusive contractor for Nissan LEAF home charging station equipment installation in the US, conducts a pre-installation inspection for PluginCars.com contributor, Nick Chambers. Get an inside look at how the process goes, as well as answers to questions such as warranty, rental concerns, cable length, and safety.

AV and Nissan need to be clear and concise about what is required of the eletrical panel and leave the specs with customers that need to have an upgrade performed so that they are not reliant on AV or its electrical contractor.
I’m pretty positive that AV can install one without you buying a LEAF, but I’m not sure what the process there would be. There are also now about 6 or 7 other EV home charging solution providers out there too, including Leviton, Schneider Electric, Eaton, Coulomb, Ecotality, and Evatran. Leviton in particular has a “pre-wire” system that would allow a new home builder to? install the necessary wiring during construction, allowing a future charge station to simply be plugged in.

These are the specs:
