AT&T Worse Customer Service Ranking – @AttCustomerCare @att

So it may not be a surprise that AT&T has the worse customer care and service ratings of all the wireless carriers, even the small carriers have better ratings.
For two years now, AT&T has ranked last in customer ratings. From 66,000 people surveyed, the compiled the results clearly ranked AT&T dead last in customer service.

Why is it that AT&T has such bad ratings? Is it the customer service, YES!
Is it the service, YES.
What about AT&T actually is good? Not much.
What can AT&T do to improve? Stop lying to customers, and start to care about the customers that have made them billions in profits over the years. Really show that they care about improving service and stop trying to deceive customers through their shady advertising and fee structures.
You hear the stories continuously about one fee after another, horrible service, termination fees, one after another.

So what did AT&T have to say about the survey results:

“While we’ll of course evaluate and learn from the Consumer Reports survey, we made significant progress in our network in 2011,” said Mark Siegel, spokesman for AT&T.

Hmmm, sounds like Mr Siegel is a puppet for the company, not admitting or acknowledging a HUGE issue that AT&T has.

Siegel noted that AT&T made 48,000 network improvements last year, resulting in a 25 percent improvement in 3G dropped call performance. But participants in the survey weren’t impressed, giving AT&T an overall score of just 59 out of 100.

I have no idea where AT&T made those 48,000 network improvements, but I saw none of them in the areas I travel daily and I bet you have seen little to none in your area.

Funny, but T-Mobile ranked much higher than AT&T in customer service.

Verizon Wireless again topped the survey among the national carriers, even as its ranking fell by a point to 73 out of 100. Verizon has led the customer satisfaction survey in almost every year except since 2003. The company had the best-ranked customer service among its peers, though it received only average ratings for phone support and issue resolution.

So Verizon is doing that well, basically gets a C grade. So average while AT&T with its 59 grade is an F.

Consumer Reports: AT&T Has the Most Unhappy Customers

You can read some of the comments online:

I had AT&T for 8 years and the only time it worked ok was when I got an iPhone. The data was slow, but the calls were decent. Everyone else on my plan had major call issues. They finally upgraded their 3G area, but I moved on to Verizon and have double the speed everywhere and great call reliability.

LOL @ AT&T’s 4G commercials, their 3G still sucks.

Had AT&T in NY, couldn’t get service anywhere, although phone constantly showed 5 bars. Internet was at snail speed. They are terrible liars: advertised speeds are unattainable and calls drop consistently and daily. I dropped calls to my grandma, during an interview, while calling AT&T support and in the middle of saying happy new years. Actually I can’t remember a significant point in my life last few years where I didn’t drop a call.

It is by far the largest scam in telecommunications at the moment. Who else in any industry gets away with a small fraction of their guaranteed service? TV, Radio, ISPs, landlines, even Verizon wireless all do as they promise, while AT&T consistently fails to perform. Shame on them.

I ended up terminating my contract early and going to Verizon. The difference was night and day. Internet and phone calls once again worked as promised, everywhere. Screw you AT&T.

U.S. Cellular is amazing. Customer service is fast and acts like they care.

AT&T made a 19 BILLION dollar profit last year… and they say they can’t afford to keep up with Verizon and have the same amount of coverage. BS. This is why I hate them.
