Sacramento Farmers and Chefs is an ongoing collection of portraits and interviews of the people whose work is shaping the food culture of the Sacramento Valley.

The exhibit will feature larger than life portraits of 30 farmers and 30 chefs from the collection. This will mark the project’s first unveiling to the public.

The premier will also feature food by Kru, Bistro Michel, Ettore’s, de Vere’s Irish Pub, and 58 Degrees & Holding, wine from Sean Minor Wines and Pinic Wine Co, and beer by Ruhstaller.

KFBK’s Kitty O’Neal will be the EMCEE for the evening.

There will be live jazz by the Ross Hammond Trio.

Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit The California Food Literacy Center.

The goal of Sacramento Farmers and Chefs is to document our local food movement through an archive of portraits and interviews with the ultimate purpose of creating a book.

The collection has been compiled by photographer Janine Mapurunga over the past year.
