Apparently weeks in the making on the hill with dozens of volunteers the sign was erected successfully on game day and could be seen from across the arroyo.
The 20′ letters illuminated with orange LEDs once dusk fell.

71 Year old Lee Baca is said to be retiring after serving the LA County Sheriff department since the mid 60’s.
After 15 years in office and several investigations and FBI probes.
An interim Sheriff will be named once the retirement is announced.
Rather than face the reelection and controversy Baca has chosen to retire. More details coming today.
Sheriff Lee Baca resides in the suburb of San Marino. Was born in East Los Angeles.

LA River Bike Tour with Good Eggs LA (Pass)
This is your pass to join the LA River Revitalization bike tour with Good Eggs LA. Good Eggs LA feels obligated to support the river revitalization, because we believe in a brighter future for our most important fresh water resource.
On January 11, 2014 we’ll be leaving from our food hub in the Arts District and heading up the river to enjoy the bike path in all its glory! Good Eggs will provide a lunch and some beer and wine.
The tour will leave the Arts District at 1pm and we’ll return to the starting location at 5pm for drinks and food. Brings friends and family!
