First of all, what is Pi and why are we celebrating it? Pi or ? is one of the most important mathematical constants, approximately equal to 3.14159265358979…
It represents the ratio of any circle’s circumference to its diameter. As in any community, especially the math & wine community, we look for any excuse to have a celebration. We choose March 14th (3/14) to celebrate the beauty of this great mathematical constant. We’re also celebrating this day since one of us (Lisa) is a high school math teacher, has a degree in Applied Mathematics from UCLA, and is a self-proclaimed math nerd. We will ring the bell and officially start the celebration at 3:14pm. We will celebrate for 2 hours of specially selected $3.14 wine & beer! Also, be sure to listen out for a special mathematically themed music playlist. All songs will be math or number related.
At 4pm a contest will be held to see who’s memorized the most digits of pi. Yes, you can show off to all your friends how smart you are, and maybe win a prize at the same time!

Of course we could possibly be enjoying pi-not grigio, pi-not noir, and pi-nts of beer. These specially selected wines and beers will be priced at ONLY $3.14 a glass!
Also, due to the wonderful amount of people that turn out for this party, we can’t keep up with washing all the stemware. We will be providing acrylic glasses, so if you’d like to drink out of something else, then bring your own stemware.

Customers continually ask us if the we’re related to the Ceja Vineyards Family since we share the same last name. To be honest, we’re not sure of how our families could be related, but it really doesn’t matter. We might as well be family, based on the way the entire Ceja Family made us feel so welcome on our last visit to their vineyards. Even the dog, Bruja was extremely lovable!
