Villa del Sol Sweet Cherry Farms – Cherry Picking Southern California Los Angeles 20013

Here’s a Cherry Picking Update from Villa del Sol Sweet Cherry Farms

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Hi Cherry Pickers.

The cherries are are almost ripe!  We have decided that opening day will be TUESDAY, MAY 28, 2013!  By then they will be nice and large and super sweet.  We will then be open every day until all of the cherries are picked–sometime around the first part of July but we will keep you posted as the season progresses.

Hours of Operation will be as follows:  On Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) we will be open from 8am to 3pm.  On Weekdays (Monday thru Friday) we will be open from 8am to 5pm to give people time to come visit the orchard after work.

Weekdays are a great time to pick cherries since it is less crowded.  But of course, come whenever you can!  Please review our rules, procedures, tips on our website www.upickcherries.com before you come to the orchard to make your visit as much fun as possible.  Remember NO DOGS are allowed in the orchard.

We encourage you to bring water and snacks if you’d like but we do not allow coolers.  There is a nice park on the route to/from the freeway where you can enjoy your picnic.  There are details and directions on the website. Click on the Picnic cherry at the top of the home page.

Our address is 6989 Elizabeth Lake Road Leona Valley, CA 93551.  If you map quest the address it will usually take you by way of Bouquet Canyon Road which is a very curvy road through the canyon.  Some people arrive a little queezy after that ride.  We recommend coming from the 14 freeway.  Click on the Directions/Map cherry for complete details.

Be sure to call the Cherry Hotline for last minute updates and to be sure the orchard is open for picking before you make the drive.  We keep it updated every day.  The number is 661 270-1356.

We look forward to seeing you at the orchard!

Maxi and Gary
