VidCon 2010 sold out

Hello All,

This is just a message that VidCon 2010 has very sold out. There are no more tickets, tickets will not be sold at the door. There have been a lot of questions, and a lot of sadfaces, but we just under-estimated demand.

To answer a few common questions I’m getting:

1. Can I participate anyway?

YES! Absolutely, please watch the live stream at https://www.livestream.com/vidcon and there will be times where we’ll be calling on questions or help from the internet audience, so please be there. #vidcon for tweeters! Follow us at https://twitter.com/vidcon

2. Is there going to be another one / where will it be?

This was probably the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life but also one of the most rewarding. So I would like for it to happen again. But we’re concenrating on 2010 right now. Once the fog clears a bit and I stop going so crazy we’ll think about 2011. And for all you east coasters…I hear you, and we’re contemplating alternate locations though it’s becomming clear that Los Angeles is going to be a center for online video.

3. Will I be able to watch VidCon content if I’m not at a computer this weekend?

Absolutely, we will, of course, be uploading VidCon content to YouTube.com/vidcon. That will include speeches, performances, concerts, interviews and panels. It might come out slowly though, since the editing will take some time.

4. How will I find out about the next VidCon?

Well, you’re already on the mailing list actually. So you’re good to go. You can also follow us at https://twitter.com/vidcon and subscribe at https://youtube.com/vidcon . That way you’ll stay updated of everything that’s going on.

If you DON’T want to get emails like this, or regarding future VidCon conferences, there’s an unsubscribe link below.

Thank you all for being part of this wonderful community of online video.
