LAX modernization projects to create thousands of jobs

A four-billion-dollar investment to modernize the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) could create as many as 39, 900 jobs and generate nearly seven billion dollars for the local economy, according to an economic report released on Tuesday.The modernization includes a total of 25 projects, most notably the 3.48-billion-dollar renovation at the Tom Bradley International Terminal and the 636-million-dollar makeover of the Central Terminal Area, said the report prepared by the Los Angeles Economic Development Corp.

(LAEDC), a non-profit organization.The modernization would benefit the construction sector as well as the manufacturing, real estate, financial services, retail industries and agriculture, according to the report.”The timing of this project is fortuitous.
