Wireless Mobile Cellular HD Voice Improves Voice Call Quality

If what we are reading about coming from CES 2013, then one of the biggest issues with mobile wireless calls will be addressed with HD Voice.

PCMagazine has the story here.

T-Mobile is the first available followed by others, and we don’t expect it to be available to all users on a carrier, perhaps only to those who have devices that are capable and within the carriers towers that are capable of HD Voice. T-Mobile HD Voice could work with the iPhone, which is not officially available on T-Mobile. iPhones that are operating on the T-Mobile network have mostly come from the AT&T provisioned. If we read it right, there are over 1.9 million iPhones on the T-Mobile network, and T-Mobile is not slated to sell the iPhone until sometime this year. Perhaps the yet to be announced low cost iPhone will make its debut on T-Mobile.  Estimates are also quoted that over 100,000 iPhones are being added per month on T-Mobile. This is very large number considering that T-Mobile is not selling the iPhone… yet.

“It’s a very noticeable enhancement to the voice call,” said Neville Ray, T-Mobile’s CTO.

A search on the T-Mobile website, does not provide any details on HD Voice.
