“Stand Up for Family” is a new comedy series started by American Family Insurance featuring Bill Bellamy and other comedians. This is one of the best comedy shows which have really touched the hearts of people as they feel themselves associated with it. When I saw the videos, I felt this is somewhat about me and my family. This whole series can be enjoyed by complete family and people of all ages. It is great to see something which is quite refreshing and at the same time funny too.

Several of these episodes took me to my childhood days particularly the video of “Momma Talk”, which is my favorite. It is extremely funny and at the same gives us lessons of our family values and for cherishing the same. This episode reminds me of my mom who often warned us to behave and be good about ourselves else we would fall into trouble. When she said ‘No’, it strictly meant ‘No’ and there would be no negotiations. Almost all the videos took me towards the different facets of life when I was growing up and I felt me in each character.

One of the videos named ‘Street Lights’ straightaway stings to our ears and rings absolutely true. After viewing this video I was also reminded of the days when my mom would move us out of the house and we used to come back during dinner time when street lights got on. These lights were clue for us to get home because if mom turned on the light of porch, this would mean we were late. I also liked “Still Free” whereby Bell Bellamy talked about how when he was a kid would invent their own imaginary games like catch a girl and kiss a girl. This skit reminded me too of my past when we played imaginary games of husband and wife.

AmFam should be appreciated for bringing us “Stand Up For Family”. The entire series is quite entertaining and enjoyed by people of all ages. The families together can laugh at the small titbits of life and also feel associated with the same.
