Reports of a shooting at Memorial Park on September 4, 2025 at 4:45. This is one block from Pasadena PD headquarters.

SoundThinking/ShotSpotter which the City of Pasadena still pays hundreds of thousands in fees, was of zero use. This technology is apparently useless for fireworks and now shots. What is probably the case, is that the sensors are not located in the area to pick up the shots.  Apparently the placement of the sensors is not public knowledge or to know what areas are covered, but it is worth requesting the data from PPD.

Campeau added that SoundThinking did not register the incident and no surveillance footage has been located as of Friday morning.
