The Contemporary Café In Old Town Pasadena  Introduces Guest Chef Pop-Up Dinners

(Pasadena, CA), Tuesday, December 1st, 2015: No need to set the table for supper; head to Old Town Pasadena for dinner at Sangers & Joe! The new contemporary café presents Keys To The Kitchen, an exciting lineup of guest chef dinners, playing host to local and international chefs who will take over the kitchen on select evenings and present full course dinner menus. Executive Chef Patrick Florendo from 41 Ocean Club and Sonoma Wine Garden will take the Keys To The Kitchen this coming Thursday, December 3rd, 2015 and present a Five Course Dinner Menu for all to enjoy!

Known for their hot Australian-themed cups of Joe, breakfast, salads, tasty sangers, weekend brunch and more, Sangers & Joe will now be opening their doors in the evening for Keys To The Kitchen, inviting guest chefs to cook up their famous signature dishes to create a carefully curated and delectable menu on select evenings. Each chef will present multiple courses, featuring a bounty of their own creative dishes. Set to debut this coming Thursday, December 3rd, 2015, Executive Chef Patrick Florendo will present his very own Five Course Dinner Menu. The young Australian native has worked in various premier kitchens across the United States for over a decade, cooking at such restaurants as Jean George’s Spice Market in New York City, Tableau in Las Vegas and Farallon in San Francisco. Chef Florendo is the second guest chef to cook at Sangers & Joe for dinner, following Guest Chef Claudio Dell’Anno, renowned Belgium celebrity chef from Le Gavroche and De Librije, author of the cookbook Claudio’s Italiaanse Keuken, and currently the Consulting Executive Chef at Sangers & Joe who kicked-off the first elegant evening, selling out his Keys To The Kitchen dinner within 24 hours.

Following Chef Florendo, Executive Chef Claudio Dell’Anno returns to kick-off the holidays on Thursday, December 17th, 2015 and he will also return with a festive feast New Year’s Eve, Thursday December 31st, 2015. After ringing in the New Year, Sangers & Joe will welcome back Keys To The Kitchen on Thursday, January 14th, 2016 with Food Network’s 2014 Cutthroat Kitchen Winner and Wood & Vine Consulting ExecutiveChefKyle Schutte. Rounding out the first month of 2016 will be L.A. native, Executive Chef Marc Johnson of Vantage Restaurant Group’s Tipple & Brine on Thursday, January 28th, followed by Executive Chef Laurent Quenioux on Thursday, February 11th, 2016 who is currently cooking up creative dishes at his popular LQ “Fooding” events in Los Angeles.

 

With Chef Florendo taking the second set of Keys To The Kitchen, he will be delivering a flavorful winter-inspired Five Course Menu for $55.00 per person that will warm the hearts and fill the appetites of all who attend.

Come hungry as a tasty Baked Crab Dip with fries and spiced pop-overs begins the First Course of the evening, followed by a seasonal Second Course of Winter Panzanella with Burrata, Turkey Figs, crispy prosciutto and a champagne vinaigrette. The Third Course is a buttery Pan Roasted Chilean Sea Bass served with citrus risotto and preserved artichoke, and a Slow Roasted Porchetta accompanied by soft polenta, chanterelle mushrooms and roasted fennel jus’ is a succulent and flavorful Fourth Course. As for the Fifth Course, Chef Florendo will be preparing a dessert assortment of homemade mini sweets and sorbets.
