Resurgence of Local Markets & The General Store

Resurgence of Local Markets & The General Store
In the past few years there has been a strong movement toward local. localvore has been coined and used by many to describe the movement.
Now we are seeing a rise in the local general market movement, many markets are being renovated and revitalized.
In the Pasadena area, a Ginger Corner at the location of Eddie’s Market held a grand opening July 7, 2012.
Expect to see more markets offer expanded local products and local neighborhood residents to support and patronize these markets. Especially if there is a value for quality products.
Personally I would much rather support a local business than a national or multinational corporation, and especially purchase locally made products. In Los Angeles we are fortunate to have so many resources to produce so many products, but in other areas this would be a little more challenging.
