Plate 38 – New Restaurant East Pasadena – ReOpens

Update: We decided to stop by and check out how Plate38 was tonight after getting off of work.

Here’s the quick version, food is good, portions are a little small, price is a little on the high side for counter order(ala Corner Bakery), service is ok, lighting is a little on the dark side. I bet this place would do much better with table service.

They don’t accept AMEX, so keep that in mind.

The floor is very cool and the fake olive trees almost look real!

Looks like for the re-opening there is no 50% off customer appreciation discount. Although we did get to sample some of the desserts they make.

Plate38 is holding their Grand Opening on December 3, 2010.  After a about 5 months of being closed due to an electrical fire, they are opening and ready for business.

There’s a new restaurant cafe about to open in the East Pasadena area.
