Pasadena, CA Water Crises Severe Level 4 @pasadenapio

The City of Pasadena is on a ten day water restriction plan, and so far after 36 hours we have heard that the efforts are falling short in the neighborhood of 13%. This may have changed into the safe range now that we have had a good rainfall and people usually don’t use as much water when it rains at least not for landscaping.
In the first 24 hours there was a shortfall of 13%.
But after 36 hours on March 20, 2011 residents hit the target, meaning if we keep it up we could have enough water.

Some suggestions for the city to implement as this rain storm moves out.
1. Call every resident using the emergency broadcasting services, i.e like that used when there is a missing person report.

2. Use the speed radar trailers, to display the message, put all of them on the busiest streets of pasadena and move them around.

3. Make all students in the schools, patrons of the library, public offices, malls, churches, etc. aware of the crises, anywhere groups of people converge.

I honestly don’t believe that all the residents are aware of the water restrictions in place.

Make residents aware of the fines for violating the restrictions.

Our water supply is a serious matter and I for one do not want the city to run out of water, but with the dire forecast after early hours, don’t make be too confident.
