Sometimes you get news that leaves you speechless, and wondering why and how.
Earlier this week I received terrible news that Nancy Bird had passed, we don’t have any details on what happened, but we know that she passed and that she is no longer with us.
She was found in her apartment in West Hollywood(I believe that is where she lived) earlier this week after she was not heard from after a few days.
Eventhough I really never got to know Nancy, I felt like I knew her, having spent time with Eli Bird, Gary Bird, Neal Bird and the family. Working at Album Network for many years.
Nancy just turned 44.
Nancy will be missed, but like someone posted on her facebook, you are with your dad, Eli Bird. Eli passed away a few months back and that was a devastating loss. Eli and Nancy will be missed sorely.
When someone passes we are forced to reflect back the time we got to spend with that person and in the grand scheme we try our best, but we could always make more effort to spend more time together with our loved ones and friends. I have an uncle in Oregon that we are going to go see in the next month or two. We are on this planet earth for a short period of time, and all we can do is try to make the best of it, because we really don’t know what happens on the other side.
We have word that there will be a memorial service for Nancy.

Family and Friends,
It is with incredible sadness that the Family informs you that our beloved Nancy has passed away suddenly in her home in West Hollywood on Wednesday, September 8th.
Born in Chicago, Nancy grew up in the San Fernando Valley and graduated from Grant High School. She then went on to Cal State Northridge and received her degree in Child Development.
Nancy enjoyed 18-years at Oliver Peoples Eyewear as their International Sales Manager which enabled her to travel extensively throughout Europe.
Her greatest happiness came from spending time with her family, especially the endless hours playing with her three nieces.
She was known by all for her quick wit and incredible sense of humor. She was a loving, kind and wonderful woman who will be forever missed.
Nancy is survived by her mother Sharon and stepfather Brad Lusk as well as her brother Neal, his wife Brianne and their three daughters, Nicole, Olivia and Rachel, brother Matthew (Deborah), sister Jessica and nephew Gavin Bird, aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends. Her father, Elias Bird, preceded her in death.
Services will be held at The Self Realization Fellowship Temple – 17080 West Sunset Blvd., Pacific Palisades 90272 on Tuesday, September 14th at 11:00am. Parking map is attached.
