UNA PASADENA/FOOTHILLS CHAPTER ANNOUNCES FIRST EVER PASADENA UN DAY FILM FESTIVAL TO BE HELD AT LAEMMLE’S PASADENA ON MONDAY OCTOBER 24, 2011

Pasadena, CA, October 21, 2011 – United Nations Association Pasadena/Foothills Chapter in partnership with Laemmle’s Theatres Pasadena is pleased to announce today the UN Day Film Festival in celebration of United Nations Day, on Monday, October 24th from 6:30 until 11pm. UNA-Pasadena will feature eight films including two feature length and six short films.

The film titles include, two feature length, “Freedom” and “Amandla!: A Revolution in Four-Part Harmony” and six short length, “Lucky Girls“, “Positive to Positive“, “Decorum“, “Sun City Picture House“, “Where Are the Men?” and “Educated Minds.”

Each of the film makers are southern California based and each film carries a unique message and story line, spanning themes of injustice, women’s rights, advocacy, education, AIDS/HIV and sustainability.

A VIP pre-reception with the film makers and VIP ticket buyers will be held at El Portal Restaurant prior to the festival.

WHEN: Monday, October 24, 2011 6:30-11:30pm. Welcome remarks at 6:45pm.

Tickets are $50.00 for VIP pre-reception and entrance to the film festival.

Individual tickets $25.00 and include a 1 year membership to UNA Pasadena.

Student tickets $10.00 with valid student I.D. card.
