Michael Jackson Music Library Stolen from Sony Servers

Hackers apparently stole the Michael Jackson music library including many songs not yet released. The hack apparently originating from the UK according to traces left behind.

A source close to the company said: “Everything Sony purchased from the Michael Jackson estate was compromised.

Sony paid $395 million for the seven-year rights to the songs

The hack has compromised the work of other artists managed by the firm, including songs by Jimi Hendrix, Paul Simon, Olly Murs, the Foo Fighters and Avril Lavigne.

Hackers reportedly illegally downloaded over Michael Jackson’s entire back catalog, consisting of 50,000 tracks, many never released.
