Long Beach Free Store – Uses Exchange Instead of Cash

Catalyst Group Non-profit things the concept will grow especially in light of double digit unemployment in California.

A new Long Beach, California thrift store accepts no cash. Instead shoppers trade goods or their time to pick things out of the “Free Store.”

Nobody leaves empty handed. Even if you bring nothing in you can leave with two items, FREE.

You can bring four items in and leave with four items. Many items are donated and you get a tax deductible receipt.
