After several years of just occasionally writing, I have decided it was time to reopen a publication. Instead of putting together something huge and time consuming, I decided I would just “blog”. I’m not quite sure how this actually works, because from the way that I see it, I have always been blogging, without the blog. In 1999, I opened ADBUMb, one of the first publications in the industry, to much chagrin from the “mainstream” media, which soon found out that people actually liked to listen to whatever I was talking about. Frankly, in retrospect it wasn’t that interesting, but it seemed to work. Now, years later, everyone “blogs” about the industry, and somehow that’s quite normal.
Thus, I’m launching IndustryPace.com – which hopefully will have daily commentary on whatever comes to mind while I’m working. Frankly, I’m still trying to decide how I will communicate, because the blogging software seems to have some sort of communication system, but I’m still using ICONTACT to send out to the industry – maybe I’ll sit down and figure it out.
That being said, I’ve posted a few comments from the past on it. Expect a lot more – whatever comes to my mind, I’ll probably post and unfortunately, that means you will have to read it. If you don’t like that idea, please unsubscribe now.
So yes, I have a blog now. I’ve downgraded from publication, now will all the rest of the world, blogging.
And yes, the site is going to look a lot interesting as the week goes by. If you have ideas, please email me. If you have snide comments, I guess I’ll take them too.
Best,
Pace Lattin
