LAPD Wins Service launches

Two subscribers will win an iPad.
called “LA WINS” and can be subscribed to by texting “LA WINS” to 888-777. The service is free, other than standard text charges from phone companies

LAPD and the supplier of its texting equipment, Nixle, Inc., will use the texting service to “send accurate and up-to-date (Lakers) parade information” to anyone who signs up for the service. The LAPD texts will be rolled out at Monday’s parade, which is expected to draw hundreds of thousands of people to downtown L.A
