Lagunitas to build 3rd brewery in Azusa, CA

With breweries in Petaluma, CA and Chicago, IL, Lagunitas is building a brewery facility in Azusa, CA. The

This is great news for the local area, and the thriving craft beer market and great news for the local economy, where this facility will surely put people to work.   It is expected to open sometime in 2017.
Measuring close to 200,000 sq ft the space will feature a taproom and event space. This will be the largest brewing facility in LA County!

Is the Southern California market ready for more breweries? The answer is YES. With Golden Road, Angel City Brewing, STONE, and others proving that the market is growing faster than most would expect. Craft Beer is probably growing faster than most other beverage sectors.

Lagunitas is one of my favorite beers, consistent and priced right, and readily available from Trader Joe’s to Costco.

Lagunitas makes several specialty brews but the mainstays are their IPA’s and Ale’s.

You can read more about the Lagunitas Brewery building built in Azusa here.

Tony Magee did an extensive post on the state of beer in the US and worldwide on the beer advocate forum.

Tony, owner and founder of Lagunitas Brewing even wrote a book last year for those interested in what it takes to open a brewery.

I just picked up a bomber of the Wilco, Tango, Foxtrot(WTF) and am looking forward to enjoying it.
