About 100 companies and government agencies will be on hand at the Bronco Student Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to discuss full-time and part-time jobs as well as internships. Among those scheduled to attend are Fluor, Northrop Grumman, Valero, General Electric, Parsons, Raytheon and Southern California Edison.

“This is an excellent opportunity for those who are entering the professional world or those who are unemployed and looking to reenter the workplace,” says Michael Marinoff, associate director at the Career Center.

Participants are encouraged to dress professionally, bring plenty of resumes and be prepared for on-the-spot interviews.

Job seekers jam the Lockheed Martin booth during the annual Engineering and High-Tech Job Fair in 2003.“It’s not uncommon for a participant to be given a follow-up formal interview or, in some cases, a job offer,” Marinoff says.

Those who want to attend the job fair but might be hesitant because of a less than inspiring resume should consider attending the Resumaniac event the day before, on Jan. 28, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Career Center. Corporate recruiters as well as career counselors will be on hand to critique resumes and cover letters. No appointment is necessary. Participants must bring a hard copy of their resume.

For more information about these events or to view an up-to-date list of attending employers, visit the Career Center website or call (909) 869-2342. Off-campus participants will need to visit the parking kiosk on Kellogg Drive for a $5 parking pass.
