This could be a one two punch, followed by tropical storm Julio, which is apparently weakening, but things could change, still it packs strong winds as a tropical storm, if it is not a hurricane classified.

It has been 22 years since a hurricane hit the Hawaiian Islands. Officials are preparing and residents are bracing for flooding, power outages, mudslides, high winds, in particular on the big island of Hawaii.

Iselle is moving slowly at approx 18 MPH.

Update:

As it passes south, the closest approach of #Iselle to Honolulu is forecast to be 9 AM HST Friday. #hiwx

No change update: 12 to 18 foot surf anticipated with #Iselle along Maui County coast, favoring east facing. Stay out of water. #hiwx
