How To Get Your First Million Users

Michael Geer, Founder, CauseCart & NYC Bubble Proof

Friday, October 12th from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Complimentary beer and wine will be served.

Learn how to get the first million users to your service, or speed up your already decent growth. This class is geared towards those with an idea they want to bring users to, or startups that are ready to scale from thousands to millions. Come to learn from Michael Geer’s experience and lessons learned while building some of the largest social sites and apps in the global market today.

The class is taught in a presentation and Q & A style throughout, allowing for specific questions to lead to deeper understanding of the presented concepts. Areas covered will include launching and designing the product, viral marketing and expanding globally. Students will take away a core understanding of what actually creates a viral product. It most likely is not what you think.

About the Instructor

Michael Geer cut his teeth with Badoo over in Moscow and London. During his 5 years there he helped bring Badoo from less than an idea to a global 70 million member network. He left Badoo in July 2010 and is now a Techstars mentor, a Board Advisor to several startups, teaches popular SkillShare classes on user acquisition and leads a social good for-profit meetup in NYC. MG has recently started a new venture as Founder of CauseCart – focusing on allowing users to raise funds for their chosen cause without donating any of their own time or money (launching soon…). Learn the role of key players such as Los Angeles UX & UI Meetups, Startup Weekend, Creative Mornings, Maker Studios, Machinima, Nation Builder, Factual, Riot Games as well as Launchpad LA and the Accelerator / Incubator ecosystem. After class you are welcome to network with a number of prominent folks in the ecosystem.
