At WFX (Worship Facilities Conference) in Long Beach next week HaiVision is presenting the hai1000 telepresence codec system with MAKO-HD technology – the premier appliance for connecting multi-site churches.
The MAKO delivers low latency high definition video across networks at up to 1080p using very high quality and bandwidth efficient H.264 video compression. The hai1000 is a multi-stream interactive system, ideal for sharing the large center main display and IMAG video simultaneously and synchronized. With HaiVision, churches can now connect with telecom grade, easy to use, network video appliances, regardless of whether you are connecting two or more facilities.
At WFX, you can also see 2 other important technologies from HaiVision – the MAKITO, a compact HD H.264 encoder, and Video Furnace System 5, a comprehensive end to end system for HD H.264 IP video delivery including live channel management, playback channels, and video on demand. See below for a summary of HaiVision’s technologies.
Come visit us at WFX next week, Booth 841, at the Long Beach Conference Center on Thursday May 14 or Friday May 15. Please book an appointment directly with John Costa HaiVision’s Director of Sales US West at jcosta@haivision.com. For a free WFX expo pass click here.

* MAKITO
HaiVision’s new MAKITO HD video encoder is the first and only compact encoder to combine the efficiencies of H.264 video compression and the image quality of full HD video within a very compact form factor at a very completive price point. Introduced at the 2009 NAB Show for just $8,995, this revolutionary encoding system supports SD and HD up to 1080p60, allowing HD video to be distributed, captured, and rebroadcast efficiently and affordably. The MAKITO is capable of producing multiple stream resolutions from a single source (HiLo Streaming), sending high bit rate video to required endpoints and providing lower-bandwidth video for mass consumption. With the MAKITO, the user need only encode once, leveraging the system’s powerful networking features and the ubiquity of H.264 to reach all possible viewers.
* Video Furnace System 5
HaiVision’s new Video Furnace System 5 is a complete solution for end-to-end HD H.264 video-over-IP distribution. The powerful integrated solution incorporates the compact MAKITO HD H.264 encoder to simplify deployment of a secure, easy-to-use system for encoding and distributing live video to computers and set-top boxes, for creating scheduled playback channels for enterprise TV and signage, and for recording content and delivering video-on-demand. The system’s Furnace Portal Server controls the direct and secure distribution of SD and HD H.264 video to both the “zero-footprint” InStream player and the STINGRAY set-top box; the Furnace Playback Manager supports scheduled channels for IP video broadcast and signage; and the Furnace Media Server leverages the efficiencies of H.264 to enable HD video-on-demand.
* MAKO-HD Codec
HaiVision’s MAKO-HD codec delivers an unparalleled 70 milliseconds of latency from end to end and supports HD up to 1080p. The MAKO-HD also supports computer output encoding to H.264, at up to 1280×768 resolution and 60 frames per second, which is ideal for command and control applications. With advanced features such as WXGA encoding, multiple stream output, HiLo Streaming, Adobe Flash compatibility, and traffic shaping, the MAKO-HD is ideal for any network video challenge over LAN, WAN, or satellite. The MAKO-HD is supported within HaiVision’s hai1000 multistream codec system — the world’s premier codec for TelePresence applications. Each hai1000 system can contain up to five MAKO-HD codecs within a compact telecom-grade 3U frame.
