If you live in the real world you are most likely spending over $4 per gallon of gas.
If you watch the media, and believe what they say, you think gas is under $4, obviously in the Los Angeles area, gas is well over $4, I challenge anyone in the LA area to pay less than $4 a gallon for gas.
Most places are well over $4 and heading into the $4.50 and above range, with no relief in sight.
Spending on gas is showing signs of declining as drivers adjust and curb driving. Perhaps as demand drops supplies will increase and prices will adjust down? This wishful thinking but we hope it happens.
In the meantime, alternative fuel vehicles, such as electric had taken a hit because of the earthquake in Japan, your best bet if you want an hybrid or electric vehicle is to try to find a used one for sale.
I know what many say that we are lucky and not living in the real world with $4 prices and that prices should be well over $5 to be comparable with world prices.
I for one have hope that alternative fuel vehicles will start to hit the road and that prices on them will drop. In addition we see that Ford, GM have models that will be hitting showrooms these are mostly hybrids.
