Keynotes:

JAMES R. VON EHR is founder and president of Zyvex, the world’s first successful molecular nanotech company. Products of Zyvex Technologies and Zyvex Instruments have appeared in the Forbes Top 5, while the developmental research of Zyvex Labs continues to works towards true atomic-level precision. Von Ehr has been a titan supporter of nanotech initiatives in numerous ways, including: testifying before the U.S. Senate on The 21st Century Nanotechnology Research and Development Act, co-founding the Texas Nanotechnology Initiative, and supporting the UT-Dallas Nanotech Institute. Jim was awarded Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award in June 2003; notable partnerships include Lockheed Martin, DARPA and NIST.

BARNEY PELL, PhD is CTO and CoFounder of Moon Express, Inc. which was selected last year by NASA for a $10M lunar data services contract; this year the X PRIZE Foundation announced Moon Express as a competitor for the $30M Google Lunar X PRIZE. Pell is a long-time NASA veteran best-known for his work with Clarissa, the first spoken dialog system in space, and Remote Agent, which was awarded NASA’s “software of the year” award in 1999, and is widely considered one of the top achievements in the history of AI. Since then, his successful investments, affiliations & exits have included: SpaceX, PowerSet, Robotex, FlipDog, AppJet (Google), Hot Potato (Facebook), Etacts (Salesforce.com), and LinkedIn. Presently, Pell is also Chief Architect for Bing Local Search, as well as Associate Founder and Trustee at Singularity University.

In addition to inspiring talks by innovative luminaries, the weekend celebration also includes a no-host informal reception Friday night at our official hotel and an exclusive 25th Anniversary Banquet on Saturday night.
