With the success of iPhone, clear channel has launched the iHeart Radio for the BlackBerry.  This allows streaming of 150 radio stations.  All these are over the cellular data networks or through the WiFi networks.  The iHeart Radio allows the user to bookmark their favorite stations and tag the songs.  It is said to have critically acclaimed genre-defying channels.  It also has a feature of randomly picking a station.  It uses the GPS to find the local stations.  The music that is broadcasted is in high quality AAC.  These are mainly streamed in AAC for high quality listening experience. This iHeart Radio is not available with all the BlackBerry models.  It is available only with BlackBerry Bold, BlackBerry Curve and BlackBerry Pearl.

It is soon to be introduced in the BlackBerry storm model.  This was introduced in order to boost the listener-ship of the channel.  This iHeart radio is able to deliver about 350 radio stations.  All these are said to be among the favorite stations of the United States of America.  It is said to be featuring the best selection of exclusive digital stations.  These exclusive stations include Christina Aguilera Radio, Megadeth Radio, and slow jams and many others.  The 2.2 version of the application has included new features that would have daily audio and video content features.  These features would include stripped artist performances, songs and frequently updated traffic reports.  These reports are only available on-demand that too only for major cities like New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago etc.
