Facebook Mobile Photo Sharing Apps and More! – Project Spartan @facebook

Facebook is preparing to release a slew of new mobile apps.

Dubbed Project Spartan, the new apps will bring integration of several highly used mobile tasks, i.e. texting, photo sharing, social networking, checkin, geo-location all into one app platform.

Will this be the case of jack of all trades master of none, or will it be the end for other players trying to make a name in the space.

Photo sharing is one area of mobile that has lots of room to grow, and then video sharing which will be next as networks open and upgrade.

Apparently the app will be available first on the iPhone.

TechCrunch is reporting thatthe app “appears to be Path meets Instagram meets Color meets With.”

Facebook is not talking… but the past and what is happening speaks volumes.

Last year, Facebook acquired photo-sharing service Divvyshot for an undisclosed sum. Divvyshot, which allowed users to engage in group photo sharing and editing, was subsequently shut down
