Explosion in San Bruno

Update: Red Cross has setup a hotline to check on loved ones or let people know where you are. (650) 616-7180.

News conference at 7am PST will be held.

Thursday evening around 6:15pm,  in San Bruno there was a huge explosion.

10 square acres, potential crime scene.

Red cross is on scene. 27 people have come through the Red Cross station.

Many people trying to connect with loved ones.

6 people confirmed dead

Gas line runs through the neighborhood

PGE was supposedly out there working on the gas line.

Some heard a plane overhead, but ruled out.

12 homes immediately destroyed the second of the explosion.

It was also windy, 30mph, pushing fires, and into the trees, eucalyptus.

53 homes destroyed

120 homes damaged

Lines are inspected, but the 3,000 companies that own them are responsible.
