Greening the Earth Day 2010

Celebrate all things “green” with the City of Pasadena and the Armory Center for the Arts at the 8th Annual Greening the Earth Day and Armory Family Arts Festival. Greening the Earth Day is an annual City-sponsored event that takes place at Memorial Park and Raymond Avenue at the northern end of Old Pasadena. More exhibitors, eco-friendly vendors and a bicycle tour through nature are some of the highlights of this year’s Greening the Earth Day and Armory Family Arts Festival. Exhibitors will display information on green lifestyles, composting, organic foods, hybrid and electric vehicles, alternative energy and green building design, with a guided bicycle tour of the City’s green projects and facilities organized by C.I.C.L.E. at 11:00am.

The free event will be held on Saturday, April 24, from 10:00am to 4:00pm at Memorial Park, Armory Center for the Arts, and on Raymond Avenue between Walnut Avenue and Holly Street.

The annual festival is an opportunity to find out more about Pasadena’s resources and plans for waste reduction, recycling, water and energy conservation and other Green City initiatives. Entertainment will include music from local bands, an interactive drum circle, and dancers. Children can enjoy arts and crafts, live animals from the Wildlife Way station and Eaton Canyon Nature Center, and more.
