Recently we picked up a dog at the local shelter. He is a great dog except for a couple issues we are working on.
1. He does mark by peeing around the house, we rarely see him do it, but we see the spots when we look hard. Usually on the corner or side on the floor near a sofa.
2. Separation issues, when we take him in the car, which he is happy to go for a ride, once the car is stopped he goes absolutely nuts, he needs to get out of the car, does not want to be left alone in the car for a second, not even while we get out to let him out of the back seat, by that time he is already in the front seat and on our laps.
3. Left alone, he has bouts of barking when left alone, it seems that either noises or people walking by set him off.
4. When we get home he also goes nuts, jumping on us, which we don’t want, we are happy to see him, but we don’t want him jumping on people like he does.

Other than that our newly adopted pup has been great.
