Dell Windows 7 System Reinstall

So I’m not sure if you have followed some of my communication with Dell. Apparently the system image on the Dell Inspiron N4010 has some problems that prevent Microsoft Windows Updates from downloading & installing. I’ve had several reps try to repair the issue.
Now I have finally received the Windows 7 install CD, and I am following the steps below to install.
What baffles me is that it took nearly two weeks for Dell to find this out, that they have a defective image they are installing on these machines that doesn’t work properly.
In addition replacing the hard drive on this model machine is not an easy task, approximately a dozen screws and various components need to be moved.
Just in case you are wondering…. these are the steps to reinstall the OS.

A window appears that says .
