Citibank citi Mobile App Error with Deposit a Check @citibank

I’ve been a customer for 15 years and downloaded the citi app and tried to
use mobile deposit and get an error Deposit a check:

! We’re sorry but you’re not eligible to use the Mobile Check Deposit
service at this time.
You must… Be a Citibank deposit account customer in good standing
for at least 6 months. Have a Citibank checking account Please deposit
checks at your local branch or ATM or mail your deposit instead.

Hello, thanks for being a loyal Customer for 15 years. I’m sorry you’re having problems, and I’d like to have someone trouble shoot. What state do you live in, and if you don’t mind, what site did you find me on? Thx, and again, apologies.

On the call with second level, Michelle Deleon who claims that the error is systemic.
And that the reason I can’t make a deposit is because there was a deposit made in September that raised a flag and that is preventing my use of mobile deposit. This is bullshit. I have the documentation that shows that there was an error on the part of citibank and how the deposit was handled. All the documentation is in my file.

One more reason I HATE BIG BANKS!

I called the customer service line and they had no idea why I would get the error. So they said they would call me back.
Who makes up the security questions they ask anyway. Some of them are absurd. Anyway we will see what they say.

Also, beware that the timeout on the app is fairly short, I guess 20-30 seconds if you don’t use it it will time out “to protect your account”.

Now I have tried to Carol Tolby with the social media team and left a message. She was not available so I tried her manager Robert Hogan, he said she is available. Now I am on hold waiting, and nobody is there.

Update: Carol was able to resolve the issue that the previous representatives where not able to resolve.
Citi needs to pay more attention and work to resolve the inadequate systems they have developed that cause customers grief, for something they had nothing to do with. As a victim of flawed systems at Citibank today I still suffered for something that took place 6 months ago. I hold them accountable for any damage done to my credit.
It is amazing that the customer service reps and managers both assured me that I would not experience any troubles as a result of “THEIR ERRORS” and yet surprise, here we are. Anyway Carol resolved the issue.

In terms of the Citi app for iPhone, well it not what I expected. The Check Deposit feature is average. It does seem to work. But you must remember to write on the back of the check “For Citibank Deposit Only” otherwise it could be rejected.
One other thing, is are the check scans available after they are processed? Like the ATM?

Now, why is it that Citi doesn’t want users on facebook to comment or post on their wall? Perhaps the fear far more complaints than they are prepared to handle.
