Calling all Filmmakers!

The Producers Guild of America (PGA) will hold the second annual Produced By Conference June 4-6 at the 20th Century Fox Studios in Los Angeles.  For one weekend only, you will learn from and have access to the greatest producers in film, television and new media. This conference will feature extraordinary panel sessions, unique mentoring round tables, special workshops and exhibits, new tech demos and most of all incomparable networking opportunities.

Plus, as a special component to the Conference, the PGA is once again hosting the Producers Challenge Contest.  This annual contest was created to help promote the work of emerging storytellers and expose them to a wider industry audience.  Participants are invited to submit their work in four separate categories – Narrative short films, Documentary short films, Independent webisodes and Studio and Network-produced webisodes (a new category this year).

A jury composed of award-winning producers will select the finalists and winners.  And the prizes this year are better than ever!  Each winner will receive a Make Your Next Short Film Package totaling $30k in services.  Equilibrium Entertainment will provide consulting on pre-production, camera and audio gear, a production van, a small crew, edit facilities, audio mixing, graphics and titling .  Additional prizes also include a private mentoring lunch with a top producer, full budgeting and scheduling software packages from Entertainment Partners and an all-session badge to the 2011 Produced By Conference.  The three finalists in each category will have the opportunity to screen their work at the Conference.

Note: you do not have to register for the conference to participate in the Producers Challenge

Submissions for the Producer’s Challenge must be received no later than May 5, 2010.
